Reverse Big Bang Writing Avoidance Technique #92: MEME TIME!!!
Seen around my flist, and being a sheep, I figured...why the hell not? :)
Ask and ye shall receive an answer!
Pick a number...any number...
1. Of the fic you’ve written, of which are you most proud?
2. Favorite tense
3. Favorite POV
4. What are some themes you love writing about?
5. What inspires you to write?
6. Thoughts on critique
7. Create a character on the spot... NOW!
8. Is there a character you love writing for the most? The least? Why?
9. A passage from a WIP
10. What are your strengths in writing?
11. What are your weaknesses in writing?
12. Anything else that you want to know... (otherwise known as Fill in the Blank)

I'm not sure if that's actually genre more than theme (where's the difference?) but I love first time fics (first time anything, not just romance). Anything humorous and light-hearted, the kind you get in fluffy, happy relationships (romantic or friendship).
And, for some weird reason, I tend to end up writing a lot about the owie theme. *g* Whether I whump Neal or hurt Peter, I like to explore the hurt theme (and all that entails...the scary bit, the comfort bit, the angst and pain and worry...)
You know, I just realized that the overall theme with any of these is relationship. So, anything inter-personal, from friendship to romance. I think exploring that is my favorite theme. :)

And don't forget to pick a number on my meme, 'kay?

Good lord, if I write in present tense, I have to keep going back and change tenses because I automatically switch back to past tense.
Funny thing is, I don't mind reading fic in present tense. But writing it ends up with my fingers in knots. *g*
(Also? Yummy Suits icon is yummy! :D)

Eeeee Suits!! I've just watched the first two seasons in the last couple of weeks and started the third, I adore it! I am in love with Harvey! And Harvey/Mike! And Harvey/Donna! I really need to join the fandom...And find fic. And write fic! Have you ever written in it? x

But yes, aside from the WTFuckery that the so-called plots are, I have a very soft spot for Harvey and Mike. *g* I'm used to handwaving liek whoa in WC (and NCIS, to an extent) so windmilling like crazy while watching Suits doesn't bother me. Much. LOL!

Heh, yes I imagine most of the law stuff must make you side-eye it hard if you know how it should be, but I don't know too much about law mechanics so I can allow it to wash over me in ignorance and just look at Harvey in his vests! :D

The least favorite to write would probably be Mozzie. I love the guy and I really wish I could write him, but I can never seem to find his voice! He's such an awesome character that I want to do him justice, and I always feel as if I'm doing him a disservice whenever I try to write him. :(

And, Neal is definitely fun to explore.

My strengths? Hmm. I think I'm pretty good at writing humor. Not necessarily slap-your-thigh-laugh-out-loud-guffawing humor, but light-hearted fun.
My other strength is that I can produce under pressure. (Deadlines FTW! *g*)
Another strength (if you can call it that *g*) is that I'm pretty good at coming up with ideas. I never lack plotbunnies, and I can get inspired by the silliest little thing. Which can be curse as well, obviously, because ZOMG PLUNNEHS AND NOT ENOUGH TIME TO WRITE. But it's neat to be able to create something out of nothing, basically.

So, here we go, a bit of El in an...unusual role. *g*
Dressed to the ninth in latex corset and mini-skirt as well as knee-high leather stilettos, with her eye make-up done to highlight her bright blue eyes, El managed to hail a cab and get to the appointment only fifteen minutes late.
It was all Peter’s fault, she kept telling herself.
The fact that she hated fetish gear only made her crankier. She knew she looked breathtakingly beautiful in the outfit, with her curves accentuated and her hips forced to sway due to the high heels of her boots, but it was hot under the latex and she was sweaty and sticky, and all she wanted was a hot shower.
Her mark didn’t seem to have a problem with her being slightly late. In fact, she made it clear that bad boys needed to learn patience, and if he didn’t behave right now, she would go into the other room, have a leisurely drink, and leave him hanging for another half an hour.
This turned de Santos on like nothing else, and he dropped to his knees and begged to be disciplined.
El had him tied up helplessly in no time, made sure he was blindfolded and gagged, and then matter-of-factly broke his neck. He never knew what hit him.
El hated this kind of death. She was an expert in poison and knew how to wield any kind of knife. But with time running out, she had to go with the direct approach.
Besides, it didn’t matter. All that mattered was that the mark was dead.
El packed her stuff and sauntered out of the penthouse, a sultry smile on her lips when the doorman hailed a cab for her.
