Like, one?! *disbelieving look*

Okay, fine. *grumbles*

I think, as far as moment goes, it's the scene in Hiatus when he wakes up and demands his wife and daughter. Granted, this is more a Mark Harmon moment than a Gibbs moment, because good lord, he acts the living daylights out of this scene, but this scene breaks my heart every single time I see it.

As for favorite episode, it's a toss up between "Requiem" and "Heartland". Both tell us so much about his character, give us so much insight into the man, who he was and who he could have been.

Slightly late, I know.

Been thinking about this one yesterday but came up empty because I have to be honest, I don't really listen to the music (and there's not a lot of music--as in, songs--on the show to begin with. If we ignore Brain Matter playing in Abby's lab. *g*

Then I went out and got home way late, and I've got a busy day ahead of me today and so...I won't be online much.

But I came up with an answer to this one, and so I thought I'd quickly post it! :)

Pauley's "Fear" from Aliyah. It was just a few seconds, but damn, it's awesome. And so damn perfect for that particular scene, when Gibbs, Tony, Ziva and Rivkin's dead body deplane in Israel. Great stuff. :)

Aside from that, I just really, really, really love the NCIS theme. Just sayin'. :)

No-brainer.

1) Gibbs/Tony (romantic) - which, to me, is pretty much canon. LOL! I'd almost go and say it's my OTP but I'm slowly branching out... (mmm...well written McNozzo...! *g*) Still, two of the sexiest guys out there? Who are so attuned to one another that it's almost spooky? Perfect match. *happy sigh*
2) Gibbs/Tony (friendship or father/son) - which, really, is just as much canon as the slashy version. *g* Even though I love to slash the guys, I adore a good father/son fic. They are perfect for this genre.
3) Tony/Tim (friendship) - best damn banter on the show.
4) Tony/Abby (friendship) - wish we'd see more of it. Loved what we saw in the early seasons, these two are awesome as big brother/little sister...and just imagine the mischief those two could get into. Papa Silver Fox would not be amused. *g*
5) Gibbs/Fornell (friendship) - Waldorf and Statler of NCIS. Love these two together. They kill me. Hell, I'm tempted to slash them, they're so perfectly like an old couple! LOL!

Ohhh, that one's also easy! Then again...only five?! *evil cackle*

1) EJ Barrett - Seriously. I'm not even going to elaborate. Anyone who even remotely knows me also knows how I feel about this...person.

2) M. Allison Hart - The only thing that comes to mind when I think of her is WTF?! Didn't want, didn't need, shouldn't have to deal with.

3) Jenny Shepard - Hated her on sight. Hated her even more when she fucked over Tony. Actually cheered when she died.

4) Susan whatshername, that horrible, nerve-racking lie detector chick. It still baffles me that she came back for a second episode. There is absolutely no need whatsoever for a third ep, GG. Really.

5) Julia Foster-Yates. Stop looking at me blankly, that's the ICE agent from "Semper Fidelis". She completely rubbed me the wrong way the second she showed up on screen, and it got only worse from there. With NCIS' tendency to bring Feds back, I sure as heck hope, she's not one of 'em.

And yes, I know all five are women. And that still doesn't make me misogynistic, despite what certain people claimed in the past. It's not my fault that the writers of my favorite show apparently have a hard time writing good female characters (awesome exceptions to the rule not counting).

You want some male honorable mentions? No prob!

* Mike Franks
* Simon Cade
* Col. Merton Bell
* Michael Rivkin
* THE DAMN FROG

(And just to screw with you *g* I'd also like to nominate Joann Fielding. Thank you.)

Okay, this should be easy...

1) Senior - and yay, we'll get more of him next week! (even though I have to wait till Tuesday...damn you, Canada!) I don't care what others say, he fits perfectly in what we learned about him in canon, and his character explains a lot about Tony. Not to mention the fact that this father/son relationship is full of fanfic potential. *g*

2) Jackson - I really hope the spoilers were correct and he'll come back this season. I absolutely adore him, and his character has given us so much insight into Gibbs.

3) Abigail Borin - I love that gal! I want her to be part of NCIS the way Fornell is. Or, actually, I want her to show up even more than that. Great character, fits right in with her dry humor and the banter.

4) Fornell - Because, really, the guy is so awesome, there can never be enough Fornell! I adore his scenes with Gibbs.

5) Jimmy - Can we please finally make him a regular cast member, show? Thanks.

Oh great. Just five, Nikki? Really?! *huffs*

Okay, let's see...

Tony. I'm a Tony gal. Tony's my number 1 and always will be. *huggles him*
Gibbs. Because he's Gibbs and he's awesome. (Well, usually... *side-eyes show*)
Abby. Because she's quirky and smart and marches to the beat of a different drummer.
Timmy. Because he was adorable as petrified babyface, is sexy when he's all smart and savvy, and has the bestest banters with Tony.

I love Jimmy and Fornell equally. Jimmy's just the most adorkable person I've ever met, and I adore how he's growing up on the show. And Fornell is just all kinds of amazing. Love his scenes with Gibbs, his dry sense of humor, and really, once NCIS is over, I want a spin-off focusing on the Two Grumpy Feds. It'll be a huge hit, I promise you.

Honorable mention to Senior and Jackson, of course, because I heart them big time. Equal love goes out to Abigail Borin. I really think we should have these three on the show a whole lot more often! *nodnod*

That's a toughie because, for the most part, I like someone or dislike someone and that doesn't change much. (Unless you're Ziva, in which case I hated your guts starting mid-season 6...though it's better now, and I like her again for the most part. So, it's back to where we once were. *g* And that doesn't count.)

Okay, ya know what, after thinking about this for a good long while, I figured out it's Tony.

*waits for people in the back to stop fainting*

See, thing is, I liked Tony just fine as a character when the show started, but he was just too much. Too loud, too raunchy, too silly, too childish, too jock, too playboy, too everything. I remember thinking that he should just dial it down.

And then, I don't really remember when, but I think it was during Frame Up, I suddenly saw the real Tony. The guy behind the "too much" mask. And I repeatedly Gibbs-slapped myself for being too blind to see the obvious: that Tony is not who he tries to make people believe he is. (And he's damn good at it, too. He fooled me, after all! LOL!)

Once I realized who the character really is, I fell hard for the boy. Loved him fiercely ever since. :)

Okay, I'm gonna cheat here and pretend that "supporting character" means it's someone we see regularly (like, once a season or so) and not just someone who happened to come back once or twice. And no, I'm not counting Jimmy Palmer as supporting character, he's a regular who gets wrongly billed. *glares at TPTB*

Anyway.

With that definition firmly in mind, there's absolutely no doubt whatsoever who my favorite supporting character is: TOBY!!!

Gotta love Fornell. He and Gibbs are so awesomely hilarious together. People keep saying they're like an old married couple. To me, they're like the NCIS-version of Waldorf and Statler. And I can see them sitting on Gibbs' front porch once they're retired, snarking at each other and the neighbors. *g*

Okay, and since I tend to not give simple answers *g* I'm also going to officially state that, as far as characters that appeared more than once go but aren't strictly "supporting" (as in, regularly recurring), the two dads (Jackson and Senior) share the number one spot with Fornell (and Jimmy, I guess *g*).

Michael Weatherly.

Oh, wait! You mean, the actual director of NCIS, not "directed by", right? *g*

Okay. Um, anyone who's not Jenny Shepard?

I adored Tom Morrow. A lot. He was a cool dude, had Gibbs' respect, respected the team, and seemed like, well, an actual director. I was very sad to see him go, especially when Jenny was what we got. *facepalm*

But Vance? People will probably throw rotten veggies at me, but I loved Vance from the beginning. He was a worthy adversary (for lack of a better term) for Gibbs, which made for some really interesting scenes. Now, I don't love him enough to enjoy completely Vance-centric episodes (Knock Out, anyone?) but I do like seeing more of him than we saw of Morrow (meaning, I would've enjoyed seeing more of Morrow *g*). I like how he has no problem going head to head with Gibbs, because really, our Silver Fox is tap dancing all over the line at times. Besides, he can be a pretty cool dude, too, if he wants to be. *g*

Not that this has anything to do with the director, but I really adore Rocky Carroll, so that's an added plus. LOL!

As [livejournal.com profile] nakeisha already said herself, "Why only five?" GOOD QUESTION, NIKKI!!! LOL!

But okay, I can do this. I can!

* Baltimore
* Heartland
* Flesh and Blood
* SWAK
* Chimera

Though really...if I know I'll be stranded on a desert island, I'd pack my DVD boxes (and have season 9 eps on my laptop) so I'd be totally prepared! *looks smug*

There are easily another ten or so episodes that I could list, but I think these are the ones I'd never get tired of watching. :)
