To be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with Kate. I always hated the way she gets all uppity and thinks she's better than Tony (and for a profiler, she really couldn't read the boy). No matter how much Ziva and her lack of personal space and stalker-like fascination with Tony annoys me, Kate's blows were personal and low. All. The. Fucking. Time.
Best example? I just watched "Split Decision" again, an ep I love because of Gus Bricker alone. *g* And what does Kate do in the last scene? Mock Tony. Repeatedly. He takes it, even goes so far as to explain to her in a genuinely friendly way what he's looking for in a woman, and all she can think of is to rub the Voss thing under his nose again. She of the profiler persuasion, who had been there to see how badly Tony was hurt by Pacci's death, thinks it's funny to mock him for tonguing Pacci's murder. Repeatedly. All I want to do is bitch slap her into next week.
Quite honestly, Tony took more verbal abuse from her in two years than he did from Gibbs in nine, and that's saying something.
On the other hand, I do love the sibling rivalry scenes between her and Tony. When it was obvious that they genuinely liked each other, and the teasing was gentle and friendly and full of pure, innocent fun. But she took too many shots at my beloved Tony, and I ain't cool with that.
So, it's really difficult for me to pick a favorite moment, much less an episode. But when it comes right down to it, I can at least name a moment that really touched me, and continues to touch me whenever I watch it, and that's when she's dancing with Ernie Yost in the middle of the squadroom, crying.
