Now's my chance to ask somebody who won't laugh at me for being a doofus, how do these bingo cards work, exactly? Are you supposed to write ficlets for each square?

Hope it's ok if I butt in (*takes a sec for a Minion BUTT moment*) but nope, you don't have to fill all squares, a minimum of 5 is required to make a bingo - the most basic one are any horizontal line or any vertical line or a diagonal line :D There are also more elaborate bingo patterns that you can go for, it all depends on how awesome your card is :D

There is a nice cheat sheet where you can see all the possible bingos :D

It's like playing bingo, only by writing fills. *g* (Plus lots of extra ways to earn eternal fame and glory.)

Personally, I don't go for bingos or any of the other possible extras. I just hope to be inspired by a prompt and write a ficlet accordingly. I've managed a few bingo lines that way, but it was more on accident. LOL
