I just remembered, Tony did tell Ziva he was under the influence of a truth serum so "if you wanna ask me anything..." and she did not ask him if he loved her. Why? Because she knows the answer to that, and hearing "are you friggin' kidding me, Bossman's been royally shagging me for the last eight years!" would have probably broken her poor little heart.

And Ziva, well, don't get me started. Between the bitchy "of all the people to come after me, it had to be you", and the forced Tiva "I can't live without you" bs...bleah.

the only redeemable (imho) Tony/Ziva lines were "So how was your summer?" and Z's delivery of personnel info.

And hello? What's with bringing the stinky all the way back to DC? There wasn't even a camp shower available anywhere between Somalia and the navy yard? Really??

Totally hijacking this to say I AGREE ABOUT THE SHOWERS. I'm pretty sure that to get back to DC, they would have had to go to a military base eventually, and I'm also pretty sure that they have SHOWERS at military bases. And spare clothes. And maybe even some lip balm.

Parts of this episode could only be explained by serious drug abuse, so I'm firmly of the opinion that the crappy stuff was just made up in Tony's mind. And really, all he truly wanted was to be rescued by the Silver Fox. "Guess I can't live without you?" WTF kind of line was that to say to Ziva of all people?! *shudders*

Still, we got competent!Tony, and lots of it. And great banter. And brilliant Tony/Gibbs scenes. And shoulder holster shots! *g* (yes, I'm shallow, and ogling MW helps me erase the Tiva-heavy stuff I had to endure!)

I certainly hope Michael Weatherly has a good sense of humor about all this. :-) He seems to have his head on straight when it comes to fans. I would really hate to think that all of our (and fans in general) Tony!love might ever make him uncomfortable. I think it's one of the reasons why I get so squicked by people who have a hard time drawing the line between the character and the actor. I don't know MW. Never met the man. From what little I've seen/heard/read, he seems like a nice, intelligent guy and he's *very* good at his job, but I don't know the man.

*Tony*, on the other hand, is in my living room many times a week and I think I know him quite well (as well as anyone does, at least). He's great fun to play with and there are all sorts of bright, shiny things inside his head (which is why it's fun to crawl around in there).

This was amusing! :D Swap thing Gibbs yes, but I wasn't too put off by it...Chewbacca on the other hand. Now that made me laugh/choke out loud! :P

It's good being able to catch up, despite the Tiva crap in the episode. :) At least there was tons of Tony goodness, and Timmy goodness, and Abby goodness - and lots of Gibbs goodness, of course! :)
