There'll be more fics that need to be written for ncis_lfws (unless I get voted off in the current round, which might very well happen...LOL).

(Yeah, I know, Halloween's over. But I still plan on writing it, even if it turns into a Xmas pressie. LOL!)

Fic--NCIS AU.
Gibbs is selected as an partner to the DiNozzo heir. Nobody has seen or met this heir before, nobody has any idea if the heir is male or female. Bonus if Abby and Ducky are Gibbs' advisors. Extra bonus for rigid society.
(I really can't wait to sink my teeth into that one, and the Muses are finally whispering to me, but this is going to be an epic, and right now, after three bigbangs, I'm kinda "written out" *g* and only have energy for short stories...We'll see.)

Well then. This is the first weekend in ages where I don't actually have to sit at my computer and frantically type away. All of my bigbang stories are finished and "only" need to be polished. So yay to that. I never thought I'd actually manage all three bigbangs, but I did, and I'll spend part of the weekend patting myself on the back,  I think. :-)

Looking at the posted summaries of the other bigbang entries, I have to say, I'm beyond intrigued by some of the epics that we'll get to see. Lots of good stuff waiting to be devoured soon! *rubs hands together gleefully*

Since I'm getting kinda old and senile, I thought I'd post an update on what will be posted when...and what other writing commitments I still have. Sure helps me keep track of things! LOL! And maybe whet your appetite as well. :-)

ncis_bigbang will definitely be finished on time (deadline is tomorrow). I'm on the home stretch. Another couple thousand words should do it, I think. I hope. Then I just need to see if the case file I came up with is in any way logical. I don't want people to be totally confuzzled, even if not everything makes sense. The Muses are not cooperating.

It's like pulling teeth, for crissakes!

I've finally managed to pass the 2,000 words mark. In other words: TWO THOUSAND. That's ten friggin' percent of what I need. *headdesk*

What makes this worse is the fact that I've got tons of plotbunnies biting me, and they would all be so damn easy to write! I'm inspired to work on at least three of them. Right now. On the spot. Without even having to think about the story. I'd just start and hammer it all out and be done in a couple of hours, I swear!

But I've got the damn deadline, I've got the damn word count, and I've got a story idea that is so damn close to my heart that I really want to do it justice, and so I'm freaking at the mere idea of it not coming out the way I want, and that's exactly what's happening because the Muses are off doing something else and I'm second guessing myself and ARGH.

Or maybe it's just the fact that after writing two bigbang fics within weeks, I'm all written out and panic at the mere idea of tackling another epic (as opposed to the little ficlets that I am inspired to write).

Or maybe it's the fact that I worked 10+ hours every single day this past week and so all I want to do is spend the weekend vegging out on the couch.

Whatever the reason, I'm frustrated. The venting helped a little. Still not feeling inspired though. LOL! Sigh.
